FEB Awards - 2006
Budnerick Award - Paul Posluszny
Posluszny was the unanimous winner as voted by the Flying Engle Brothers for his awesome defensive play on the field.
Englewood Award - Tony Hunt
Tony "the Horse" Hunt was the unanimous winner of this award. In 2006, Tony was the heart of the offense rushing for over 1,000 yards and always getting that extra yard.
On his way to earning the Outback Bowl MVP honor, Tony punished the Tennessee defense and helped lead Penn State to a victory.
A-Train Award - Deon Butler
Deon Butler was awarded the A-Train because he is a deep threat on any play. This once walk-on defensive back is one of PSU's top weapons down the field.
Alumni Award - Anthony Scirrotto
Scirrotto earned this award by bursting onto the Penn State scene in 2006. Little was known about Penn State's
safety, but Scirrotto proved that he could play by leading the Big Ten in interceptions and just being in the
right place at the right time.
Lionshead Award - Paul Posluszny
The Lionshead was appropriately given to one of the head lions in 2006.
Posluszny was the easy choice for the Lionshead because of his leadership on the field.
Poz was a elected a team captain as a Junior and a Senior and his consistently strong play was a key reason
for the success of Penn State in 2005 and 2006.
